Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.

The following day was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent storm activity expected across various areas of both states.

Safety Concern

Public health experts warned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the state's northern country region, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
